Yes, all Coe students will have the opportunity to complete at least one certificate or course. 

Yes. Any current student is eligible to take these certifications. A small number of licenses will be reserved for faculty and staff.

The certifications and courses are flexible and self-paced. Each certificate program takes 3-6 months to complete if you are studying 8-10 hours per week. Courses are shorter, taking 7-8 hours to complete. 

There is no cost for Coe students. 

No background knowledge needed! If you are already familiar with the subject matter, you can skip directly to the graded assessments. 

Use this link to complete the Coe AI Accelerator Access Request Form. 

Within three business days of completing the form, you will receive an email from certificates@coe.edu. The email will include directions for accessing the Google Career Certificate and Course platform which is powered by Coursera. You will also receive an email communication from Coursera  (no-reply@t.mail.coursera.org) indicating you’ve been invited to join the “Coe College Google Learning Program on Coursera.” You must accept this invitation from Coursera to join the Coe platform. You will be required to create a unique password for your account. This password is NOT and should not be the password you use for other Coe systems. 

Note: These courses and certificates are completely online, and you can access all materials anytime and anywhere via the web or your mobile device. Keep in mind that your on-campus coursework is still your main priority, so please carefully consider your time course load and whether you can commit to and manage your time to successfully add this additional study.

The certificates and courses have varying completion timelines, however if your account is inactive for 30 days you may be removed from the Coe program to make space for other students. If you are removed from the program, you can complete the Coe AI Accelerator Access Request Form to regain access at a later date. 

No, these are not transcripted courses. 

These certifications and courses will augment what you are learning in the classroom at Coe and help you gain valuable skills that, combined with your Coe degree, will set you further apart with employers. Certifications like this help build your resume, gain a credential for your LinkedIn profile, learn new skills and gain insights into the world of work. Upon completion, you will be offered an opportunity to set up an appointment with a Coe College career specialist in C3 to talk about what you learned, and how to include your new skills on your resume and during interviews to get the attention of employers who seek those skills.

Google AI-Ready Learning Path (7-8 hours completion per course)

Increase performance and productivity with upskilling

• Google AI Essentials: This program teaches how to use generative AI tools, create effective prompts, and use AI responsibly. This is for people who are looking to integrate AI into their work to boost their productivity and supercharge their skills.
• Google Prompting Essentials: This program teaches how to give clear and specific instructions to generative AI - known as prompting - to help unlock more of AI’s benefits. This is for people who are looking to save time and simplify their work with AI.
• Google Agile Essentials: This program teaches you how to streamline your projects and deliver faster results. This is for people who are looking to prioritize, break down projects and boost project efficiency through implementing agile methodologies and frameworks.

Foundational Google Career Certificates (3-6 months completion at 8-10 hours of study/week)

Gain job-ready and practical AI skills, no experience required

• Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate: This program teaches how to identify common cybersecurity risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, as well as the techniques to mitigate them. This is for people who enjoy investigating, solving puzzles and helping others.
• Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate: This program teaches how to collect, transform, and organize data in order to help draw new insights and make informed business decisions. This is for people who enjoy working with numbers, uncovering trends and visualizations.
• Google UX Design Professional Certificate: This program teaches the foundations of UX design, how to conduct user research, and design prototypes in tools like Figma and Adobe XD. This is for people who enjoy thinking creatively, design and research.
• Google IT Support Professional Certificate: This program teaches the fundamentals of operating systems and networking and how to troubleshoot problems using code to ensure computers run correctly. This is for people who enjoy solving problems, learning new tools and helping others.
• Google Project Management Professional Certificate: This program teaches how project managers successfully start, plan, and execute a project using both traditional and agile project management approaches. This is for those who enjoy solving problems, working with people and organizations.
• Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Professional Certificate: This program will teach how to build e-commerce stores, grow customer loyalty, and attract and engage customers through digital marketing channels. This is for people who enjoy connecting with others online and building an online presence.

Advanced Google Career Certificates (1-2 months or 3-6 months completion at 8-10 hours of study/week)

Learn advanced job-ready skills; assumes previous experience

• Google Business Intelligence Professional Certificate: This program teaches how to create processes and information channels that transform data into actionable insights to inform business decisions. This is an advanced program for people who have completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate or those with equivalent data analytics experience.
• Google Advanced Data Analytics Professional Certificate: This program will teach how to use machine learning, predictive modeling, and experimental design to collect and analyze large amounts of data. This is an advanced program for people who have completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate or those with equivalent data analytics experience.
• Google IT Automation Professional Certificate: This is an advanced program for people who have completed the Google IT Support Professional Certificate. This is for people who want to build on their IT skills with Python and automation.
