Tim Busch teaches aviation ground courses on Coe’s campus and flight courses through Coe’s flight partner, ATD Flight Systems, at Coe’s Aeronautical Field Station at the Eastern Iowa Airport. Busch has been a ground and flight instructor for nearly 30 years, first operating his own flight school and later successfully rebuilding and leading another Iowa aviation program. Busch holds the following certificates and ratings: Commercial Pilot—Single & Multi-engine Land, Instrument, Glider, Gyroplane, and Helicopter; Certified Flight Instructor—Single & Multi-engine Land, Instrument, Glider, and Gyroplane; Advanced Ground Instructor; Instrument Ground Instructor; and Remote Pilot.

Pam Carstens
Roger & Mary Baxter Professor of Business Administration and World Affairs

M.B.A., Ph.D., University of Iowa
Professor Carstens teaches marketing, advertising, strategic management, and business ethics. She is the Administrative Coordinator of Coe's Aviation Management and Aviation Management & Flight Operations concentrations and Administrative Coordinator of Coe's Public Relations degree. Pam supervises student research projects and enjoys travel-abroad courses with students. She is active with the Birkey Investment Fund.

Marty Lenss

Marty Lenss teaches Coe’s Introduction to Aviation Management course. Lenss is a strong supporter of aviation education and has been instrumental in helping Coe bring its aviation program from concept to reality. In his role as Airport Director of the Eastern Iowa Airport, Lenss recently led the airport through an expansion of its commercial routes and a $120 million modernization and expansion of its physical footprint. His 30 years of experience working in various airport management positions provide him with a wealth of knowledge and industry connections.
