Course Requirements
Four-Year Plan
The Theatre Arts Program offers specific tracks of study comprised of 10 courses per major. All majors are required to take a core of six courses (below). The remaining four courses can be selected to create an emphasis in secondary education endorsement in theatre arts, theatre arts management, performing arts or a general theatre major.
Note that students typically take four courses per semester for a total of eight each year. Check the Coe catalog to review all of your options.
All theatre majors take a core of six courses including:
- Acting I
- Introduction to Theatre
- Design for the Stage
- Technical Production I
- Technical Production Lab (4 for .25 credit) or 2 Tech labs and 1 THE 112 or 2 THE 112
- Production and Performance
Students may take another four elective theatre courses for a general major, or, select an emphasis in secondary education endorsement in theatre arts, theatre arts management or performing arts.
