Lively classes, an emphasis on hands-on experiences and an active community create a clear path to your future career. Ready to become a Kohawk?

Coe College is the only college or university in Iowa to be nationally ranked for accessible professors, internships and career services.

Located in the heart of Cedar Rapids, Iowa’s second largest city, Coe is adjacent to hundreds of internships and jobs, including with:

  • Fortune 500 companies
  • Two Top 25 teaching hospitals
  • International companies
  • Nonprofits
  • Local startups
  • Business where our 4,000 local alumni reserve opportunities just for fellow Kohawks

In recognition of the exemplary opportunities and connections available to you, The Princeton Review has ranked Coe seventh in that nation for Most Accessible Professors, eighth Best Career Services and a Top 25 Best Private School for Internships for 6 of the last 7 years.

On campus, small classes encourage critical thinking and discussion, while events and clubs can fill your calendar quickly.

It all adds up to an experience that is fun, fulfilling and future-focused. In fact, for the past decade, nearly 100% of Coe graduates have been employed, in grad school or engaging in service within nine months of graduation.

Emma Lassen

Strong community

Emma Lassen

“One of the things that has made my college experience so great has been the people I've gotten to work with during my four years here at Coe. I've felt lucky to be surrounded by people at Coe who care about me and want to help me be successful, and to me I see that as part of the culture of the college."

A triple major in English, social and criminal justice and education, Lassen is part of a long line of Kohawks who earned a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship. She taught English in Spain.
