Articulation & Transfer Agreements
Our connections with area colleges and universities give students an opportunity to make the most of their education.
Through articulation and transfer agreements, Kohawks can earn multiple degrees at a quicker rate. We have agreements that help students in a number of disciplines, including those interested in pursuing law, counseling and public health.

Business
Kirkwood Community College
Coe, in conjunction with Kirkwood, has a pathway for students to earn an associate’s and bachelor’s degree in business fields in just four years. Generous scholarships are available for Kirkwood students who enroll at Coe after completing their associate’s degree in business administration with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Kirkwood business graduates are able to seamlessly transfer into Coe as third-year students. When enrolled at Coe, they will be able to pursue their bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting within the Stead Department of Business Administration and Economics.
Counseling
Drake University
Coe College and Drake University’s agreement allows students to earn both their bachelor’s degree in psychology from Coe and a master's of science in clinical mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling or school counseling from Drake in just five years. Completion of these two degrees typically takes six years. Those who enter the program will be able to begin earning credits toward their master's degree while still completing their undergraduate education.
The framework of this partnership is a 3+2 agreement where a student will spend three years at Coe and two years at Drake. Qualified Kohawks will be guaranteed an admission interview with Drake, and if accepted can expect to save one year’s tuition by completing the dual degree.
Law
University of Iowa
Coe College and the University of Iowa College of Law’s 3+3 program allows qualified undergraduates from Coe admission to the College of Law after the conclusion of their junior year. Credits earned during the first year of law school at Iowa, which would have been their senior year at Coe, will also apply to their undergraduate degrees.
At the end of their fourth year of study, students in the program will receive their bachelor's degrees along with their classmates from Coe, while also having a year of law school completed.
