How to Have a Writing Conference

How do I meet with a Writing Center consultant?

You can drop in for a writing conference any time during our open hours. But to make sure a consultant is available to meet with you, or to schedule an appointment with a particular consultant, stop by our location in the library to make an appointment or use our online scheduler, WCOnline.

How do I get to my Writing Conference?

Face-to-face writing conferences are held in the cozy environment of the Writing Center on the main floor of Stewart Memorial Library. When you arrive, our front desk consultant will welcome you and introduce you to the consultant who will work with you. Sit at one of our tables or side-by-side on our couch while you discuss your writing project.

What about online conferences?

If you can’t make it to the Writing Center, you can choose to have an online appointment. Talk with a consultant online, share your draft, and keep track of suggestions and feedback with the chat function of our online platform WCOnline. This video explains how to access your online conference platform.
