Off-Campus Study
Coe encourages all its students of language to study abroad and makes it easy to do so with many options. You are not limited to Coe-produced programs, but many find them the most cost-neutral and the most immersive.

The Université de Valenciennes
A semester or year long exchange available in the junior year. You may elect to study language and culture in the FLASH program or enroll in regular university courses. Housing is available on campus in the international residence or may be arranged privately downtown. Valenciennes is in northern France, close to Lille, and a short train ride away from Paris, London and Belgium.
The Université de Québec à Chicoutimi
A semester-long exchange in the heart of Québec, surrounded by natural wonders and a very authentic Québecois culture. Housing is available on campus. Winter and May Term immersion programs may also be arranged privately for credit.
The Universität Landau
Students can spend a term or a year at our exchange partner-school, a small, friendly university nestled among the vineyards of Southwestern Germany. Each fall Landau sends us several German students.
Universitat Jaume I in Castelló, Spain
At UJI, you can take courses in any discipline. Although the university is located in beautiful Valencia, on the Mediterranean, most of the courses are offered in Castillian Spanish. Homestays distinguish this exchange program from virtually all others.
The Université de Neuchâtel, Switzerland
Improve your French skills at the university’s School of Language and Civilization in this picturesque small city where you can admire the Alps across a lovely blue lake.
May Term in Spain
Students sign up in droves for this May Term on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, where you take classes daily in Spanish language at the University of Alicante and in the off hours learn about regional Spanish culture, architecture, history and food.
