John’s teaching emphasis is in Athletic Administration, Sport Management and Athletic Training. John just completed his 37th year at Coe College and during that time has held positions as an Athletic Trainer, Assistant Professor and Director of Athletics. His current position as an associate professor of health and human performance provides him the opportunity to share his vast background in these areas and interact with Coe students and faculty/staff on a daily basis.

Levi is an assistant professor of health and human performance, teaching a variety of courses and preparing to begin student advising. He values involving undergraduates in research and is excited to contribute to the Coe College community and support student success. Levi enjoys creating a collaborative and engaging classroom where students can connect kinesiology concepts to real-life health, performance, and wellness. He focuses on active learning, thoughtful discussion, and building practical skills.

Chad’s teaching emphasis is in upper-level health and human performance, Injury Evaluation, Injury Rehabilitation, Motor Learning, and Cognitive Function of Athletes. Currently, he is the chair of the department and primary advisor for students interested in Pre-Athletic Training and Pre-Physical Therapy. Chad has been at Coe for 24 years holding various roles including Head athletic Trainer, Director of Athletic Training Education and Co-Director of the Center for Health & Society.

Elaine’s teaching emphasis is introductory courses in health and human performance with an emphasis in Foundations of Physical Movement, Fundamentals of Exercise and Nutrition, and Adapted Physical Education class where students work side by side with special students. Elaine loves to exercise and learn more about nutrition. She tries to practice the healthy habits she teaches about on a daily basis
