Students enjoy new P.U.B. furniture
Students returned to campus this fall to find a new addition to Charlie’s P.U.B. Student Senate, Student Life and Sodexo worked together to purchase new furniture, including a couch, chairs and several study tables. This new furniture creates a more comfortable and friendly space, encouraging students to spend time there with their friends or study. We hope you will check out the new and improved space on your next visit to campus.

What does Clearly Coe mean for you?
Coe College recently announced Clearly Coe, a major initiative designed to increase accessibility to a Coe education by reducing our published tuition price by 45 percent to $31,850 for the 2027-28 academic year.
As a parent of a current student, you may naturally wonder how this change impacts your family’s financial commitment.
What this means for your family:
- Lower increase in subsequent years: Because next year’s anticipated tuition increase is applied to a lower direct cost baseline, continuing students will see meaningful savings — the 4% adjustment could result in $1,000 in savings (subject to no changes in federal or state aid eligibility) for you in the upcoming year compared to what you would have paid under the previous pricing structure.
- Continued support from Coe: While this adjustment resets our published "sticker price" to reflect what families actually pay, it does not reduce the impact of the institutional financial support your student relies on. Institutional scholarships and financial aid will be recalibrated to align with the updated pricing structure. However, the percentage of the direct cost currently covered by Coe scholarships and grants will be similar. In other words, while the components of your student’s aid package may shift, the overall affordability of a Coe education stays consistent.
- While Clearly Coe primarily aims to remove initial financial roadblocks for prospective students exploring Coe, our commitment to your student’s experience, academic success and career preparation remains our top priority.
What happens next:
- Financial aid letter: Your student will receive updated financial aid letters in late spring/early summer 2027, after they’ve filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This update will reflect details regarding their specific award recalibration.
- Questions & Support: If you or your student have any questions after reviewing those details, please contact our Office of Student Financial Services in Lower Voorhees, 319.399.8540 or o-financialaid@coe.edu.
