Inaugural Athletic Day of Giving 2025

Held on August 14th, the inaugural Athletic Day of Giving was a great success for Kohawk Athletics. The campaign generated over $250,000 through more than 600 individual gifts, rallying alumni, parents, fans and friends around a shared commitment to Kohawk excellence. Every team and athletic support program benefited, marking a powerful start to what promises to be a lasting tradition.

This milestone directly supports Coe's student-athletes, enriching their development in competition, in the classroom and as leaders beyond campus. From upgraded equipment and travel opportunities to team-building initiatives and program development, the impact of this campaign will be felt across all 27 varsity sports. Mark your calendars! Kohawk Kickoff Day is on Saturday, September 20 9 AM - 1 PM Kohawk Kickoff Day graphicSeptember 20 — come visit campus and stick around for the first football game on Clark Field’s new turf! 

If you know a high school student who is interested in visiting Coe College, Kohawk Kickoff Day is a great opportunity for them to see what Coe is all about.

Welcoming new Kohawks
 

We are excited to welcome the Class of 2029 to Coe! The new class is composed of students from 23 states and 10 countries, 33 legacy students and includes the most students from Iowa of any class in the past five years. Within the group are the first members of Coe’s aviation management and flight operations program. Read more on the Class of 2029.

Coe College has the No. 14 Best Student Support and Counseling Services in the country and that level of care starts with New Student Orientation. Games, movies, ice cream and campus exploration helps new Kohawks make new friends fast!

Washington Monthly and Niche have both named Coe a Top Liberal Arts CollegeCoe College sail flag on Coe's campus

Coe College continues to be recognized as a top liberal arts college in the country, performing particularly well in categories that relate to contributions to the public good.

Washington Monthly annually ranks colleges based on four categories: access, affordability, outcomes and promoting public service. The publication strives to “measure how much [colleges] help ordinary middle- and working-class students get ahead, encourage democratic participation and service to the country and produce the scholars and scholarship that drive economic growth and human flourishing.”

Recently, Washington Monthly announced Coe as a top liberal arts college, ranking #20 in the nation for access, #89 for affordability and #105 for service. Niche also released updated national rankings and honored Coe in the Top 100 Liberal Arts schools in America. Read more.

Initial Global Pathways interns soak up a world of knowledge

Maria Bello ’26 and Davis Sharp ’26 are the firstGlobal Pathways Interns at Kosovo Consulate Kohawks to participate in the Global Pathways Program at Coe. The Global Pathways Program is an internship experience that creates an immersive experience in international affairs through connections and activities with Iowa’s network of international partnerships, including its longstanding relationship with the Republic of Kosovo. Tailored to the interns’ particular interests and career goals, students learn about multiple aspects of international relations, including state and citizen diplomacy, human rights, international law and policy and international development. 

Bello is considering an international relations or immigration law career, and Sharp is considering law school and is interested in sports diplomacy. Both found the Global Pathways experience to be profoundly impactful as they met and networked with representatives from key nonprofit, higher education, state and diplomatic organizations. Read more.
