Inaugural Athletic Day of Giving 2025
We’re kicking off the fall season with a powerful new tradition: the inaugural Kohawk Athletic Day of Giving. On Thursday, August 14, alumni, fans, families and friends will rally together to celebrate and support the 26 varsity sports that represent the spirit and strength of Coe College.
Timed to coincide with the start of the 2025–26 athletic season and fall move-in, this special day invites you to give back, gear up and get loud for Kohawk Nation.
You can choose to support Kohawk athletics overall or designate your gift to the specific athletic team that means the most to you. Watch your emails and social media for more information coming soon!
All that Jazz: Photographs by Carl Van Vechten and George Henry
The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art has opened a new exhibit: All that Jazz: Photographs by Carl Van Vechten and George T. Henry — and we’re especially excited because it features the iconic work of George T. Henry '49, Coe College’s longtime visual historian.
For decades, George captured the heart and soul of Coe: the people, the moments, the traditions and the spirit that make our community so special. This exhibit is a chance to celebrate his incredible eye and his artistic legacy. The exhibit is open now through August 31, during the museum’s normal hours:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Thursdays: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM (free admission from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
Saturdays: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Sundays: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Starting July 1 through August 31, you can enjoy free entry to the museum during their normal hours. We hope you’re able to visit the exhibit this summer to honor George’s remarkable work and the powerful stories his photos tell. Read more about George’s legacy at Coe here.
Chapters of Change: Stories you helped write
Because of you, this year has been one of momentum, opportunity and meaningful success for Coe students. Thank you for your generosity — your support has made a true and lasting impact.
As we close out the academic and fiscal year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the stories you’ve helped write. Enjoy a short series of stories over email that highlight the journeys of three incredible Kohawks:
- Kanyon, a first-year student preparing for medical school
- Max, a rising senior and Esports team captain with dreams of game design
-
Ashari, a recent graduate pursuing a career in counseling and psychology
Each of these students has a unique story, and each one has been shaped by the support of donors like you. Their success is your legacy. Read their stories at the bottom of this page.
If you feel inspired to support their continued journeys — or help another student like them — there’s still time to make an additional gift before June 30. But most of all, we hope you feel proud of what you’ve helped make possible this year! Read more about how your gift makes a lasting impact at Coe here.
