Coe roots run deep in Elsbury family

Cyndi Kies Elsbury '87 and Mike Elsbury '89 let their sons decide where they wanted to pursue their college education. That four Elsbury sons followed their footsteps at Coe is icing on the parental cake.

The Coe College class of 2018 graduated on the Stewart Memorial Library mall on May 6. With a large number of family and friends in attendance on a picture-perfect day, Coe President David McInally conferred Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Music degrees on 280 graduates.

Coe students faring well in national fellowships

Already recognized as a top producer of Fulbright scholars, Coe is beginning to broaden its reach in the highly competitive national fellowship market.

Students benefit from connections with alumni, businesses

David Wiedner '91 was looking to resurrect a long-dormant internship program at LimoLink. Tomoaki Takebuchi '19 was looking for an internship to develop his computer programming skills. The Coe Alumni Offce and the Center for Creativity and Careers (C3) brought them together at the popular Sip and Socialize networking event.

Kohawks connecting with Cedar Rapids seniors

Coe students participating in an Intergenerational Connections program are finding they're getting as much as they give while partnering with socially isolated older adults in the community.
