Things to remember
Move-In Day for first-year students (who are not moving in early for an approved reason) is Saturday, August 16. You can move into your residence hall between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
All beds at Coe require extra-long twin sheets.
You will meet your Resident Assistant (RA) on Move-In Day. Your RA is available to help you through the transition into college living. Feel free to contact your RA with questions throughout the school year.
Always carry your photo ID with you. It gives you 24-hour access to your residence hall and limited access to other residence halls on campus.
Your housing timeline
Now: Early housing selection information is available to first-year students. You will fill out a housing application asking about your preferences and daily habits. This information will be used to create a hand-selected roommate match for you. Or, you also can find a roommate on your own and request to live with each other. The Class of 2029 Facebook group is a great way to meet other new Kohawks!
March 1: Submit any housing accommodation requests to the Accessibility Services Office (accessibility@coe.edu) by this date. We will continue to accept requests after March 1, but submitting your documentation by this date maximizes the available options for us to meet your needs.
April 18: Match Day #1 — You will receive your housing placement and information about your roommate(s) if you submitted your enrollment fee and housing application by April 12.
May 10: Match Day #2 — You will receive your housing placement and information about your roommate(s) if you submitted your enrollment fee and housing application by April 25.
June 16: Match Day #3 — You will receive your housing placement and information about your roommate(s) if you submitted your enrollment fee and housing application by June 9.
July and August: Get to know your roommate better and prepare for Move-In Day. Stay tuned for more information including a packing list and things to think about when getting ready for college.
