The Office of Student Success & Persistence provides a welcoming environment to empower students to successfully transition to Coe and through graduation.

The Office of Student Success & Persistence helps first-year students with their transition to college. Success Coaches provide proactive outreach to ensure that students are aware of important information, as well as connected to resources on campus and in the Cedar Rapids community. The staff in the Office of Student Success & Persistence are available to help first-year students navigate Coe and connect with the people, tools and resources to be successful.

Our team is available by appointment but welcomes drop-in appointments as well. We are centrally located in Stewart Memorial Library with staff available from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

The Office of Student Success & Persistence plans the orientation events at Coe to ensure you have a smooth transition to college and are introduced to campus resources that will be invaluable during your time at Coe. 

We know new students are provided with a lot of information that may be hard to remember. The benefit of attending a place like Coe is there is an abundance of resources available to help you succeed.

Remember: your rise starts with the raise of your hand. When you are unsure of where to go for help, you are always welcome to let us know how we can support you by completing this form.

Register for a Connect 4 Success Event

The Connect 4 Success events are designed to bring together various departments and members of the campus community to offer specialized events aimed at sharing valuable information with students and addressing any questions you may have at relevant times throughout the year. Each event will focus on a specific topic, providing students with opportunities to connect with experts in those fields, learn more about resources available and to get personalized support.
