Student Activities Committee
SAC brings the fun to Coe College with a variety of interactive and engaging programs that range from magicians, musicians and comedians to baseball games, movies and bowling.
The Student Activities Committee (SAC) provides numerous opportunities for students to attend free or low-cost entertainment both on and off campus. These activities encompass a wide variety of interests for everyone at Coe. Interested in joining SAC or would like more information email them at sac@coe.edu .
Charlie’s P.U.B. provides a comforting and relaxing area for diverse performances. These include live mainstream events featuring low-key acoustic singers, poets and solo artists as well as comedians.
Coe provides access to large-scale concerts or events by collaborating with local businesses, such as the Paramount Theatre, Alliant Energy PowerHouse and Theatre Cedar Rapids.
Weekends are especially busy with student activities. Most Fridays or Saturdays, the college offers a free event such as watching a new release at the local movie theater, skating at the ice arena or singing karaoke in Charlie's. Furthermore, every year Coe hosts several multicultural events and traditional Homecoming activities, including a dance, football game and daily spirit week events. Coe College truly provides a diverse range of student activities to encompass the interests of all students.
