International Student Orientation
International Student Orientation (ISO)
Get a sense for what International Student Orientation is like by checking out the schedule of events. The ISO schedule changes annually and will be updated for fall 2022 very soon!
New Student Orientation (NSO)
After completing ISO, international students, along with their domestic student counterparts, participate in New Student Orientation, or NSO. For more information about this 4-day program, click here.
International Student Mentor (ISM) Program
ISMs is a student leader whose primary duties are to:
- assist Coe international student affairs and
- to support and guide new international student arrivals before and during International Student Orientation.
More specifically, ISMs help with arrivals, guide students around campus, are present for and actively helping during orientation sessions, and are on-call during the evenings for Coe international student affairs and new international students need. ISMs formal job begins the weekend before ISO and ends after the last event on that Friday. ISMs are able to move in early and can eat free in the cafeteria from Monday through Friday.
Both international and domestic students may apply to be an ISM for the upcoming fall ISO. If you are interested in getting to know new students in a fun and hands-on way and are looking for an engaging and rewarding leadership role on campus, this position is for you! Feel free to ask previous leaders what their experience was like. And contact Anna Drexler, Director of International Student Affairs <adrexler@coe.edu> for any questions you might have about the fall 2022 application.
