Early Economic Clarity with Coe’s Early Financial Aid Estimate

In an effort to provide economic certainty, Coe College is offering to provide early financial aid estimates to students who have been admitted to the college for Fall 2025.

We feel it is critical for families to have a clear understanding of costs at Coe College during the initial college search phase and we are investing in that critical component by providing early financial aid estimates prior to the release of the Department of Education’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid release in December of 2024.

Step 1: Complete the Department of Education’s Early Estimator Form*

Simply complete the Federal Student Aid Estimator

Step 2: Review Your Results

Upon completion of the form, you should receive a Student Aid Index (SAI). Your SAI is used to determine your eligibility for need-based financial aid. Please note: This is NOT the official documentation or decision but rather an estimate for being a residential student. You must complete the FAFSA to know the exact amount.

Step 3: Share the Results with Coe College

Simply report your Student Aid Index (SAI) to Coe College via the Financial Aid Early Estimator Form.

Step 4: Receive Your Financial Aid Estimate from Coe College

Beginning mid-September, the Coe College Financial Aid Office will use the SAI you provide to create an estimate of your financial aid.

Step 5: Complete Your Enrollment to Coe College

There is no obligation to attend Coe when you complete the Early Estimated Financial Aid process. However, oftentimes, students feel that this process provides an early view of economic clarity that allows them to proceed in making their college decision early on in their senior year of high school. For students who wish to enroll at Coe College, they can submit the $300 enrollment fee. This nonrefundable fee is not a binding contract, but does indicate the student plans to enroll at Coe and wishes to reserve a place in the class entering Coe in the fall of 2025.

Step 6: File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Beyond providing you with early clarity on the cost to attend college with the early estimator form, Coe College will provide you with a detailed financial aid award as soon as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available. That date is scheduled for December 1, 2024.
