Meet the Flight Instructors

Coe partners with ATD Flight Systems to provide all flight instruction. Our experienced Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) guide students through every stage of flight training, from their first lesson to advanced multi-engine and commercial certifications.

  • Student to CFI Ratio: Approximately 5:1, ensuring personalized attention and consistent mentorship.
  • CFIs are FAA-certified and bring experience in training aviation.
  • Safety, professionalism and hands-on learning are central to each student’s training experience.

What do you look for in a student? First and foremost, desire and drive. You have to want it! Yes, flying is fun, but there is a lot of study that comes with it. A distant second is aptitude. Most people are capable of learning to fly. Refer back to #1!

What is your favorite part of instructing? My favorite part of instructing is sending students up for their first solo flights. It is always fun to teach students with a real passion for professional aviation.

What is your favorite part of instructing? My favorite part of training student pilots is watching them gain confidence and proficiency in the cockpit and when it all finally comes together be it landing or an instrument approach. I also enjoy when students come with questions. Their curiosity creates an engaging learning environment and allows both of us to grow.

What do you look for in a student? Love a student who talks and asks questions, when you’re in a cockpit with a person for so long it’s nice to get to know each other, and a student who asks questions is always trying to learn more, which I appreciate.
