Coe College Concert Band

Flunk Day 2026 Plans

To the extent possible, I would like to honor Flunk Day, but there are certain times, because of performances, that we would not be able to do so.  Please read the following and abide by the instructions:

Any day that you suspect is flunk day, please visit the Coe Band Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CoeCollegeBands) or the Coe Band webpage and click on the rehearsal schedule link (https://www.coe.edu/faculty-staff/bands-coe-college/concert-band-rehearsal-schedule) after 9 am to find out if we are rehearsing that day or not.

Any rehearsal will be canceled for flunk day except for the rehearsals the Wednesday and Friday before the Festival of Bands concert:

If Flunk Day is Wednesday, April 15 (7-9) or Friday, April 17 (6:30-9:30),  the band MUST rehearse.

I expect ALL participants to be in appropriate shape to contribute to the rehearsal. If you cannot abide by this requirement, please do not attend.

Any rehearsal after Festival of Bands will be canceled for flunk day - EXCEPT

Wednesday, April 22 is not just a rehearsal – it is our performance at Kingston Yard.

We have to perform that night.

And if that performance is canceled due to rain and we perform April 29,

we will perform, even if April 29 is Flunk Day.

I apologize in advance if this plan affects your ability to participate in Flunk Day, but I am sure you can understand that we can not cancel the rehearsals that close to the performance, nor can we miss a performance. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
