Coe partners with The Restoration Project

The Restoration Project partnershipCoe College and The Restoration Project have partnered to launch a new Empowerment Program for Coe students. The program provides group and individual coaching for eight weeks to nine first-year students plus two young staff members who desire to better understand themselves, improve their life and leadership skills and take another step towards reaching their full potential.

Desired outcomes of the Empowerment Program include enhancing the confidence and resilience of each student, increasing connection, improving individual outcomes and creating collective accountability and support.

Two local leadership professionals from The Restoration Project are facilitating learning and development through discussion in a group setting around common challenges the group is facing related to identity, self-awareness, leadership, resilience, confidence, coping skills and strategies for navigating change and uncertainty. Individual sessions then provide an opportunity for students to address limiting beliefs and behaviors, find clarity, and identify new habits, routines and skills that improve health, happiness and overall success.

“We are honored that Coe invited us in to work with students in this holistic and courageous manner. We are excited about the insights shared and positive change we’ve witnessed already, and look forward to the impact this program will have on participant wellbeing, retention and grades as well as the ripple effect as each student carries their experience and story into their other circles,” said The Restoration Project founder Lindsay Leahy.

"We're always seeking opportunities for our students to gain valuable experience and insight that is applicable to their individual goals, both personal and professional. This partnership is a wonderful way for a group of Kohawks to grow, which is our ultimate goal, and for that, we would like to express our gratitude to The Restoration Project for partnering with us," said Coe College President David Hayes ’93.
