Coe College one of The Princeton Review's Best 387 Colleges

Once again, Coe College is one of the nation’s best colleges according to The Princeton Review. The education services company profiles and recommends Coe in the 30th edition of its annual college guide, “The Best 387 Colleges.” Coe has made the best colleges list nearly every year for the past two decades.

Coe’s inclusion in the guide places it in the top 14% of America’s 2,800 four-year colleges. Colleges are chosen for inclusion based on data collected annually from administrators and students.

Students who were surveyed by The Princeton Review for Coe’s inclusion remarked that “academics are top-notch and tailored to students’ needs.” They also highlighted academic support resources, passion of professors and community inclusion as strengths.

Where Coe continues to excel on a national level is in its commitment to facilitating internships and networking opportunities. Both students and The Princeton Review recognized the emphasis on professional opportunities in a Coe education. The Princeton Review ranked Coe No. 10 nationally for Best Schools for Internships (private schools) and No. 20 nationally for Best Alumni Network (private schools) in the spring.

Coe’s success in creating hands-on experiences and connections has led to nearly 100% of reporting graduates finding employment, being admitted to graduate school or engaging in a service opportunity within nine months of graduation over the past decade. The national average is 83%.

“I’m pleased Coe has been recognized again as one of America’s best colleges,” said interim president David Hayes. “The efforts of our faculty and staff to create a high-quality, robust learning environment on campus with connections to real-life experiences in Cedar Rapids and throughout the country are truly setting our students up for success.”

Beyond the Best 387 Colleges, Best Schools for Internships and Best Alumni Network categories, The Princeton Review also has named Coe to its lists for Best Midwestern Colleges, Best Value Colleges and Green Colleges.
