White Privilege Symposium

White Privilege Symposium

The White Privilege Symposium is part of a 20 year conference created by Dr. Eddie Moore Jr., begun in Iowa and returning for its 20th year! Educational entertainment (Edu-tainment) and opening keynotes Friday night, and a one day conference on Saturday. This is a high energy and powerful opportunity for education on topics of privilege and oppression, and offers opportunities for community building and action, in order to build a more equitable world. We will offer programming designed for participants from diverse sectors in the area, including high school and college students, K-12 and higher education faculty, grassroots activists, social workers, nonprofit and government employees, artists and members of the spiritual/faith community. This Symposium is open to all people interested in fighting oppression.

In keeping with the values of the WPC, this symposium will succeed when it is accessible to a full economic array of participants. Those who find regular registration rates beyond their capability may volunteer their time and attend the full conference at a reduced rate. Please contact Kris Bridges.
