Theatre Production - Big Love
Big Love, written by American playwright, Charles Mee, tells the story of fifty brides fleeing a forced, arranged marriage to fifty cousin-grooms only to become refugees in a nearby country. Big Love, based on Aeschylus's play "The Suppliants", raises questions on the nature of love and rage, relationships and gender politics, domestic violence, anger, heartache and the responsibility of one people to another. Set against an arresting visual art installation, this production promises to be as engaging as a multicultural wedding party, where music and dance take the stage together with razor sharp dialogues.
