Corridor Middle School ShowChoir Expo

The Corridor Middle School Showchoir Expo is an exciting, celebratory event designed to spotlight and support middle school showchoirs from across the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City corridor. This non-competitive expo provides a positive, educational environment where students can share their hard work, perform for peers, and grow as performers—without the pressure of scores or rankings.

Participating choirs will take the stage to present their current competition show in a welcoming, festival-style setting. Following each performance, ensembles will receive constructive written and verbal feedback from experienced showchoir clinicians, offering insight on vocals, choreography, show design, and performance energy. Each group will also take part in a brief on-stage clinic, allowing clinicians to work directly with students on key moments from their show and provide practical tools they can immediately apply as they continue their competitive season.

The expo is designed to emphasize learning, encouragement, and community, giving middle school performers the opportunity to gain confidence, refine their skills, and celebrate the art of showchoir alongside other schools in the corridor. Directors will benefit from professional feedback tailored to middle school ensembles, while students will leave inspired, motivated, and excited to continue growing as performers.

The Corridor Middle School Showchoir Expo, proudly sponsored by YoungCo. and Coe College, is a chance to honor the dedication of students and directors, strengthen connections between area programs, and foster a supportive future for showchoir in our region.
