Coe College invites applications for a one semester part-time instructor for 2-4 introductory biology laboratories beginning in January 2020.
The Coe College Biology Department seeks a candidate with the ability to teach introductory Biology lab courses for both majors and non-majors. Preparation and grading of quizzes, homework and lab reports is expected. Organismal and Ecological Biology is a course meant to introduce the students to the study of organ systems, ecology, and animal behavior. Lab sections are designed to complement and give hands-on experience for students taking the co-requisite lecture course. The lab times are three hour blocks on Tuesday afternoons and evenings, Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings and a mandatory lab prep meeting on Fridays at noon.
- A Master’s, ABD or equivalent degree in Biology or a related field is required.
- Experience as a teacher or teaching assistant preferred.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check with Coe College policy.
