Coe College seeks dedicated and driven applicants for the role of Gallery Director for Coe's permanent collection of art, Sinclair Galleries and student gallery.
The Gallery Director role is part-time, and responsibilities include planning, installing and supporting the annual series of exhibitions in the College's Sinclair and Student Galleries, as well as maintaining and overseeing the College's Permanent Collection of Art. The director also oversees work-study students whose tasks and responsibilities are divided among the two galleries and permanent collection.
The director will work approximately 20 hours per week during ten months of the year. Most of these hours will occur during the academic year, but minor responsibilities will be completed prior to the school during and/or during campus breaks. The weekly hours are flexible.
- Masters degree in art or art history required.
- Previous gallery director or museum experience preferred.
- Employment experience in higher education preferred.
- Must be proficient in handling art objects of all media.
- Must be proficient in working with carpentry and paint tools.
