Part-Time Lecturer in Archaeology

Coe College is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach two courses for the Anthropology program in the fall 2022 semester and two courses in the spring 2023 semester.

The rotation will include topics courses, based on the applicant’s expertise, one at the 200 level and one at the 400 level, and a 100-level introductory course in archaeology, with one of the three courses offered twice. These courses contribute to a two-field (cultural anthropology and archaeology) program that offers a minor in Anthropology.

This is a benefits-eligible position.


  • PHD preferred, ABD required
  • Experience teaching an introductory archaeology course at the undergraduate level preferred
  • Experience using archaeological field methodologies required
