Becoming a member of the fraternity and sorority community at Coe will provide you with a variety of experiences that will help develop you as a student and individual throughout your college years and beyond.

In addition to forging lifelong friendships, you’ll develop leadership skills from holding a position within your chapter or council, achieve academic success with the help of organized scholarship programs and expand your knowledge on a variety of topics such as networking.

Coe College's campus is home to five men's and five women's organizations:

  • Sororities — Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Delta Delta Delta & Zeta Phi Beta, Inc.
  • Fraternities — Lambda Chi Alpha, Phi Beta Sigma, Inc., Phi Kappa Tau, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia,  Tau Kappa Epsilon & Sigma Lambda Beta Interest Group

Fraternity and sorority members at Coe are known for their social activities on campus due in part to the strong bonds of brotherhood or sisterhood you find within each organization. Each organization plans a variety of activities for their own members along with other fraternity and sorority chapter members. In addition, all of the chapters make academics a priority. Through the years, fraternity and sorority members at Coe have proven to obtain higher GPA's than non-Greek members.

Our fraternity and sorority organizations also are very involved in serving both the campus and the community. Coe College fraternity and sorority members volunteer with local food banks, animal shelters and blood drives — just to name a few. In addition to their extensive community service, each chapter sponsors various philanthropic events to raise money for some amazing causes.

Sororities

Alpha Gamma Delta

OUR PURPOSE: To gain understanding that wisdom may be vouchsafed to me. To develop and prize health and vigor of body. To cultivate acquaintances with many whom I meet. To cherish friendships with but a chosen few and to study the perfecting of those friendships. To welcome the opportunity of contributing to the world's work in the community where I am placed because of the joy of service thereby bestowed and the talent of leadership multiplied. To honor my home, my country, my religious faith. To hold truth inviolable, sincerity essential, kindness invaluable. To covet beauty in environment, manner, word and thought. To possess high ideals and to attain somewhat unto them.
