Football/Soccer Turf Project Honoring Dr. W. Kent "Doc" Herron
Field turf was installed in 2007 at Clark Field, and now with almost 20 years of wear and tear, it is critical that we replace the field turf entirely.
Clark Field
K. Raymond Clark Field is home for the Kohawks in track and field, football, soccer and softball. The field includes a 400-meter all-weather track and playing fields for football, soccer and softball. There is also a practice field located on the east side of Clark Field. The stadium, with seating for 2,200, also includes concessions and locker rooms. Clark Field is named in honor of the late K. Raymond Clark ’30, who became the college’s preeminent benefactor, with total contributions to Coe nearing $34 million.

This $600,000+ project will require participation from our entire community to achieve, and we hope you will join us in our efforts to both honor Dr. W. Kent “Doc” Herron and provide a new and improved field for future generations of Kohawk athletes.
Throughout Doc Herron’s 56 years of service to Coe, nothing made him happier than helping a student, supporting the TKE fraternity or cheering on the Kohawks. A fierce supporter of the Coe football team, Doc could be seen every home game cheering on the Kohawks from his “spot” on the sidelines of Clark Field.
To commemorate and honor Doc’s legacy on campus, Coe will mark Doc’s spot with a permanent logo on the new football turf. Help us achieve this by supporting the Football/Soccer Turf project with your gift today.
