What activities are you involved in?
I am a part of Student Senate and Multicultural Fusion.

Why did you decide to attend Coe?
I chose Coe because of the friendly environment and the feeling of a “close-knit family”.

What does Coe mean to you?
Coe is what I call “my key to success.” Coe has so many great programs of study that will definitely help anyone reach their dream career.

What is it like living in Cedar Rapids?
Living in Cedar Rapids is a huge decline in population for me, coming from Chicago, but I think of it as a major advantage because it gives me the opportunity to build more close and personal relationships. Also, there are so many places to eat and hang out with friends that it reminds me of home.

How has Coe changed your life?
Coe has opened my eyes to many different career paths within my nursing major. I came to Coe wanting to major in business administration and biochemistry but I have found my passion in nursing and now I know that I will have many options when I leave Coe.

What do you like best about Coe?
What I like best about Coe is the “First Year Experience”.  Having a College Adjustment Peer (CAP Leader) is the best so when you get here you already have someone to talk to. Also, I love the activities during orientation week; you get the chance to interact with your classmates, and find your way around the campus and become a part of this wonderful family when you ring the bell. Oh yeah…DRAGON BOAT RACING is always the BEST!

Tre and friendsWhat do you do for fun on the weekends?
On the weekends, there is always some event that my friends and I attend, but there are nights where we hangout in my room, pop some popcorn and just watch a scary movie.

What do you plan to do after Coe?
After Coe, I plan to continue on to medical school and attempt to pursue my dream career as an obstetrician.

What advice would you give to a prospective student considering Coe?
Coe is truly a special place and you really should come visit the campus to understand how close of a family we are.

Why should a prospective student choose Coe?
A prospective student should choose Coe because everyone here wants to see you succeed. The teachers, counselors and staff are extremely helpful and flexible with students which helps for a smooth transition. Lastly, everyone is a family here; once a Kohawk, always a Kohawk!
