Saturday & Sunday,
March 29-30, 2014
Siblings Weekend welcomes younger brothers and sisters to Coe for a weekend with their Coe student. Various activities expose siblings to some aspects of college life. Siblings arrive on campus on Saturday and leave the next day following brunch. Some parents spend Saturday night in Cedar Rapids on a mini-vacation. Siblings Weekend occurs during February or March of even numbered years.
Dear Coe Parents,
Siblings Weekend is an opportunity for Coe students to share their college experience with their younger brothers, sisters or relatives (suggested 9-18 years of age). Coe students who are hosting a guest will be responsible for them throughout the duration of their time on campus.
Siblings should bring a sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, PJs, appropriate gear for activities (black soled shoes are not allowed in the sports facilities), swim suit and spending money if they plan to shop at the bookstore.
Siblings Weekend is sponsored by the Office of Admission, Alumni Programs, Parent Programs, Public Relations, Student Activities Committee, Student Affairs and Student Alumni Association.
If your Coe student wants to participate in Siblings Weekend be sure they talk with their roommate(s) about overnight arrangements for their sibling. Host students need to make sure their roommate is willing to have a guest in their room.
Please call if you have questions.
