What I look for in a student: I look for a student who is motivated and willing to accept the challenges college life will undoubtedly present. Coe offers a wealth of opportunities for its students academically, socially and professionally, and I like to see students who show a genuine excitement and interest in getting the most out of their college years.
What I love about my job: Finding the right college can be a scary task for students and their families. I love that my job affords me an opportunity to assist them in this critical process on a daily basis. Coe College is also a place that I am very passionate about, and I look forward to sharing my experiences, as well as my understanding of what our school has to offer prospective students.
My hobbies: I love playing and watching baseball more than anything, but I enjoy all sports. I also love reading, fishing, cycling and just being outdoors in general.
Music: I listen to all kinds of music, but I prefer Country the majority of the time.
Books: All sorts of history books, Randy Pausch's The Last Lecture and anything by Mitch Albom.
TV: Friday Night Lights, The Office, American Pickers
Movies: Forrest Gump, Due Date, The Sandlot, Good Will Hunting
Favorite Coe Memory: Hands down, diving into the dog-pile on the mound at Kernels Stadium after winning the conference title. Best feeling an athlete could ever have!
Favorite Coe Tradition: The Victory Bell and the Dougie Peters send-off!
Time Killer: I have a serious addiction to buying things on Ebay, my bank account suffers as a result.
My Sport/Professional team-sport: I love Major League Baseball. The Yankees are my team… Being a Cubs fan is just too hard on the heart.
