What I look for in a student: I look for a student who is excited about all that a college education has to offer. I want students to come to Coe ready to dive in to the entire college experience, willing to try new things outside of the classroom (getting involved in clubs and organizations, studying abroad, research with a professor or two) and willing to be challenged in the classroom.

What I love about my job: The college search can be a daunting process for some students but I love playing a part in helping to ease the anxiety of that process and make it as fun and exciting as possible.  Interacting with students and their families, telling them about Coe, is the best!

Cedar Rapids Hot Spot: There are many great nature trails in Cedar Rapids. I enjoy having tons of options for a run or bike ride.

Favorite Place on Coe's Campus: Phifer Commons in Upper Gage Memorial Union.

Favorite Childhood Memory: In 6th grade, six friends and I raised about $10,000 to build three town welcome signs at the entrances of my hometown. We were called the "7 Signers" and the signs for the town of 360 people reads "Lohrville: Better Not Bigger."

If you could be any celebrity, who would you be and why? Ryan Seacrest. He has a crazy busy job, but I think everything he does would be so fun.

What is your dream job? To be the host of Price is Right.

Fun Fact: My wife and I auditioned as a duo for The Voice.
