The Coe College Concert Choir will present "Songs of Nature and the Elements" on Sunday, Dec. 3, beginning at 2 p.m. in Sinclair Auditorium. The performance is open to the public at no charge.

This concert will feature choral music on themes of the earth, natural beauty, environmentalism and the elements. The concert opens with Alberto Grau's striking "Kasar Mie La Gaji" (The Earth is Tired), and continues with Antonin Dvorak's "Songs of Nature."

The second half of the concert begins with Abbie Betinis' "Spell of the Elements," followed by a set of "American Elements." This will include American spirituals, folk songs, and a new composition, "Once I Walked Out," by group's conductor, Marc Falk. The concert will close with a performance of Frank Ticheli's moving "Earth Song."
