Coe Music Department plans "French Connection" Keyboard Festival

The Coe College Music Department will present the second annual Keyboard Festival featuring keyboard students and faculty over two evenings. The concerts will be held on Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Daehler-Kitchin Auditorium in Marquis Hall. Both events are free and open to the public.

"The French Connection" theme will feature composers from France or those whose works have been influenced by the French music tradition. On Friday, Nov. 4, the Coe keyboard faculty will feature music by Saint-Saëns, Debussy, Bédard and Bizet, in works for two pianos, piano and organ, and two-pianos/eight-hands.

On Saturday, Nov. 5, Coe piano students and keyboard faculty will feature music by Milhaud, Ravel, Debussy and Gounod, in works for piano duet, two pianos, and two-pianos/eight-hands.
