The Coe College Concert Choir will present a program entitled "Prophets and Madmen, Seers and Oracles" on Sunday, April 17, beginning at 2 p.m. in Sinclair Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.

During the concert, the words of mystics throughout history - people who heard voices, saw visions and received prophecies - will be examined. Some were angels and some were biblical prophets, while others took religious orders. Still others were committed to asylums because of their visions. Who decides, when you're hearing voices in your head, if you’re a prophet or a madman?

The music will feature the work of composers Hildegard von Bingen, Benjamin Britten, Alberto Ginastera, Orlando di Lasso, Hans Leo Hassler and more. Under the direction of Coe Music Professor Dr. Marc Falk, the Coe College Concert Choir is accompanied by Abbie Brewer and college organist Dr. Brett Wolgast.
