Coe Music Department plans first-ever Keyboard Festival

The Coe College Music Department is hosting its first-ever Keyboard Festival consisting of two evening concerts for musical enjoyment. The concerts will be held on Friday, Jan. 22 and Saturday, Jan. 23, both at 7:30 p.m. in Daehler-Kitchin Auditorium in Marquis Hall. Both events are free and open to the public.

The Friday night concert will feature the Coe keyboard faculty including Abbie Brewer, Julia Titus, Marita Wolgast and Brett Wolgast. Saturday's concert will feature Coe keyboard students along with the faculty.

This year's theme is piano ensemble music by eastern European composers. The concerts will feature piano duets, two-piano duets and two-piano quartet works by Dvorak, Smetana, Rachmaninoff, Mussorgsky, Borodin and Tcherepnin.
