Cuisine from around the world will be featured at the Coe College International Club's 41st annual banquet on Sunday, Feb. 22. Appetizers will be served during a reception at 6 p.m. in the Phifer Commons of Gage Memorial Union, followed by the dinner at 6:30 p.m. in the Gage Dining Hall.
The event is open to the public and tickets are $10, free for children 12 and under, but a ticket is still required. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available by calling the Coe Box Office at 319-399-8600, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
This year's buffet-style banquet features specialties from various countries, such as tabbouleh, boxty potato pancakes, amdong jjmidak, okonomiyaki, Hai le la so mut, fried plantains, and much more.
In keeping with long-standing tradition, Coe international students will don costumes and serve from a buffet line reflecting their nationalities. A brief program featuring the students will follow the dinner.
