Coe College will offer special tours and activities during Iowa Private College Week (IPCW), Aug. 1-5. Free tours and information sessions will be available for college-bound students and their families at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. daily, departing from the lobby of Stewart Memorial Library.

Sponsored statewide by the Iowa Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, 2011 marks the 13th year for the annual campus visit program, held at 29 participating non-profit, private colleges and universities.

At Coe, participants can take part in guided tours of the campus and sit in on information sessions to learn more about academic programs, student life and tips to finance a college education. Several surprises and giveaways are also planned.

Organizers at Coe say the sessions are a good way for students and their families to explore the range and feasibility of private higher education options.

After each campus visit, students will receive a stamp in an IPCW passport. With three or more stamps (limit two per day), students will be eligible for a drawing for one of 58 bookstore vouchers valued at $500 each to be awarded statewide.  Each participating college will award two $500 bookstore vouchers to students who visit during IPCW, complete the required three or more passport stamps, and then apply, are accepted, and enroll.
