Financial Aid and Scholarships
Coe provides more than 90 percent of its students with some form of financial aid. In addition to academic awards, the Music Department's scholarship auditions enable prospective students to compete for annual awards ranging from $1,000 to full tuition, including:
- Marshall: Full-Tuition Scholarships for students seeking a Bachelor of Music.
- Schauwecker: Partial-Tuition Scholarships, renewable $4,000 to $5,000. Note: no special application form is required in applying for Schauwecker Scholarships; the only requirements are admission to the college and participation in the Scholarship Competition in February.
- Basler Vocal Music Scholarships for Bachelor of Music students in Vocal Performance or Vocal Music Education.
- Competitive Scholarships for students interested in a music major, minor or just involvement.
All scholarships are offered to students regardless of financial need. Students do not have to major in music to receive a scholarship, but they must participate in ensembles as assigned to retain their scholarships for all four years at Coe.
