Senior Admission Counselor
What I look for in a student: I look for a student who is eager to become something great. In each area of study Coe offers, there are immense opportunities for students to succeed and grow as individuals and scholars. I look for the student who is excited to begin the next step.
What I love about my job: As a student, I developed a strong connection with this institution. Sharing that experience and seeing how students can take advantage of their own Coe experience takes the cake for me.
My hobbies: HGTV, sampling different Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavors (current favorite is Coffee, Coffee, Buzz, Buzz, Buzz), sipping on Starbucks, exploring Cedar Rapids and spending time with my beagle, Olive.
Music: iTunes Radio: Top Pop or Top Alternative.
Books: I enjoy reading just about any non-fiction book but Jon Krakauer is my favorite author.
TV: HGTV at night, "Good Morning America" in the morning.
Favorite Coe memory: Move in day. It might have been several years ago for me now, but I doubt I will ever forget the drive to Coe and unloading all of my belongings into Armstrong Hall.
Favorite Coe tradition: Flunk Day
Trips you've made with Coe: While a student at Coe, I was fortunate to travel to the Bahamas on one of the May Term adventures. The ability to count a once in a lifetime experience as an elective Biology credit was an unforgettable moment in my Coe career.
Cedar Rapids hot spot: You can usually find me at Coe, Starbucks or Parlor City Ice Cream. #Addict
Favorite professional sports team: Da Bears
