International Economics

The international economics major at Coe is designed to prepare students for graduate study in economics, business, industrial relations or law, and to develop a general competence in the discipline of economics. Unlike many small liberal arts institutions, Coe offers over 20 different economics courses, to better prepare students for graduate programs and the work force in economics-related fields.

Program Highlights:

  • Exchange opportunities are available for students who would like to experience economics in a global setting, first hand, during their time at Coe.
  • Several international economics majors engage in joint research projects with faculty members, present at economics conferences and are published in various economics journals.
  • In the last 15 years, more than 200 department graduates have gone on to earn their M.B.A., Ph.D. or J. D. at prestigious institutions including Harvard, Vanderbilt, University of Chicago, Brown, Northwestern, Berkeley, Washington University, Stanford, Columbia and Cornell University.
