Greg Morton (bassoon, contrabassoon), is a member of the Cedar Rapids (IA) Symphony Orchestra hailed by Time Magazine as an "organization [that] has transcended its amateur origins to become a model for the whole country. "Dr. Morton also performs with the Dubuque, Waterloo, Des Moines, and Quad-City Symphony Orchestras, the Des Moines Metro Opera, and the Joffrey Ballet Orchestra. His degrees were earned at the University of North Texas and the University of Iowa. Prior to earning his Performance Certificate at Northwestern University, he served on the faculty at the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Currently he serves on the faculty of Coe College in Iowa. He has served on the faculty of Lutheran Summer Music and the Iowa All-State Music Camp and has participated in the Great Music West Festival. Of his original compositions and over 40 arrangements, several have been recorded and may be found on the 4 WIZARDS! CDs. Many of these arrangements are now available for purchase from Bocal Music.
