Application Process

Application Deadlines

Students who are applying for the Fall term, which begins in August, should have all of their paperwork submitted by March 1st.

Students who are applying for the Spring term, which begins in January, should have all of their documents submitted by October 1st.

Required Materials

To apply to Coe College, please follow the steps listed below. Contact us at with specific questions.

  1. Submit a completed International Application for Admission via the Common Application. No application fee required.
  2. Provide an official, certified copy of all secondary school work (mark sheets) translated into English with all courses/grades listed, along with an explanation of the grading system.
  3. Provide a certified copy of all national examination results (e.g. 'O' level, HSC, SLC, etc.)
  4. Official test scores:
    1. For students whose first language is not English, one of the following methods of English testing is required:
      • TOEFL score of 520 or above (68 internet based score)
      • IELTS score of 6.5 (with no subscore <6)
      • STEP Eiken score of grade 1 or pre-1
      • PTE Academic score of 59 or above

      If your scores are below the above stated scores, please contact our ESL department.

    2. SAT or ACT result.
      (To have scores sent to Coe College, please use the following codes: TOEFL and SAT code number is 6101; ACT code number is 1294)
  5. A letter of recommendation from a school official who can address your academic performance and potential.
  6. Complete an International Student Financial Statement and send that along with third party documentation of funds sufficient to cover your expenses at Coe.
  7. If you wish to transfer any non-United States university credits into Coe College, an official transcript evaluation by World Education Services (WES) is required. Please apply for a Basic Course-by-Course Evaluation to be completed and sent to Coe College. More information can be found at

Once you have been admitted for study at Coe College, you will receive a letter that describes the conditions of your acceptance, the total costs of attending Coe College and a deadline for submitting your enrollment deposit ($250.00 USD). The deposit is non-refundable and reserves your place in the incoming class, as well as your room in a residence hall.
