     Title: Nonprofit reputation management talk on tap for Coe Homecoming

Cedar Rapids native Ruth Kinzey will be speaking about nonprofit reputation management at Coe College on Friday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Her presentation is part of Coe's 2013 Homecoming program.

A reputation strategist and 1977 graduate of the college, Kinzey will share insights and research from her recently released book, "Promoting Nonprofit Organizations: A Reputation Management Approach." During her talk, she will touch on topics such as the importance of proactively shaping a nonprofit's reputation through employee, volunteer and board engagement as well as on crisis communications management. The program will be followed by a book signing.

Kinzey, president and founder of The Kinzey Co., has more than 35 years of communication experience in the corporate and consulting arenas. She is also an educator, having taught at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte and will be teaching strategic reputation management for Rutgers University in the spring.

"Promoting Nonprofit Organizations: A Reputation Management Approach," 248 pages, is available in paperback for $59.95 from Routledge. Copies of the book will be available for purchase following the reading, which is free and open to the public. The event will be held in Kesler Lecture Hall in Hickok Hall on the Coe campus. Refreshments will be served.
