Anno is a bilingual, bicultural Japanese-American from Chicago, who currently teaches ethnomusicology at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill. During the workshop, participants will investigate the Japanese performing art of noh and its development throughout history in structure, music and form. They will dance and chant part of a noh play, as well as have an opportunity to play a noh flute, the nohkan.

The event is sponsored by Friends of Music at Coe. For more information, call the Coe Music Department at 319-399-8521.
