Only about 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges and three colleges outside the U.S. are profiled in the book, which is The Princeton Review's flagship college guide. It includes detailed profiles of the colleges with rating scores for all schools in eight categories, plus ranking lists of top 20 schools in the book in 62 categories based on The Princeton Review's surveys of students attending the colleges.

In its profile on Coe, The Princeton Review quotes students who praise the college for its “tight-knit community feel” that provides “something different for everyone.” Among comments about the Coe experience, students noted, “Coe has a very warm and friendly atmosphere” that works “for the betterment of each individual Kohawk through experiences, in and out of the classroom, as well as creating a mature adult prepared for the ‘real-world.’”

In a "Survey Says" sidebar in the book's profile on Coe, The Princeton Review lists topics that Coe students were in most agreement about in their answers to survey questions. The list includes: "Career Services are great," "students are friendly" and "student government is popular."
