     Title: Coe College Chorale to feature classical, spiritual and contemporary music at spring concert

Classical, spiritual and contemporary music will be performed by the Coe College Chorale during the group’s spring concert. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m., in Sinclair Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Tara Warfield, the Coe Chorale is accompanied by Brett Wolgast. In addition, Coe students Emily Crouch (cello), Sarah Gierach (flute), Kayla Darrow (vocal) and Erica Davisson (vocal) will be featured soloists for the concert.

The concert will feature four themed sets: Songs of Hope, Songs of Love, Spirituals, and Musical Theatre and Popular Selections. Classical works by Bach and Handel will be presented, as well as the spirituals “Joshua!” and “Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel?”, arranged by Kirby Shaw, and “River in Judea” by Jack Feldman. Popular songs such as “And All That Jazz” from the musical “Chicago,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Paul Simon and “And So It Goes” by Billy Joel will be featured during the concluding set.
