     Title: Coe College Symphony Orchestra sets spring concert

The Coe College Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of this season's guest conductor Timothy Hankewich, will present classics from Mozart, Debussy and Schubert as part of a spring concert on Sunday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. in Sinclair Auditorium. The concert is free of charge and open to the public.



The Coe College Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of this season's guest conductor Timothy Hankewich, will present classics from Mozart, Debussy and Schubert as part of a spring concert on Sunday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. in Sinclair Auditorium. The concert is free of charge and open to the public.

The concert will open with "Reverie Op. 24" by Scriabin. Next will be "Danses for Harp and String Orchestra" by Debussy, with movements "Danse Sacree" and "Danse Profane," featuring Coe student Bethany Wheeler on harp. "Sinfonietta" by Wheeler, featuring "Fanfare," "Cradle Song," and "Prelude" will also be performed by the orchestra.

The Mozart number "Andante in C Major for Flute and Orchestra K. 315" will be performed, with soloist G. Oakley Lyon on flute. The concert will conclude with "Symphony No. 8 in B Minor D. 759," commonly known Schubert's "Unfinished Symphony," with movements "Allegro moderato" and "Andante con moto."
