Humanitarian strife, social need to find beauty explored in PREVIOUSLY BLUE

The humanitarian strife and disasters of the late 1990s in Serbia are translated into a social need to find beauty in all things life can bestow in PREVIOUSLY BLUE. Alloy Orchestra to accompany "Metropolis" in Coe Marquis Series performance

With an unusual combination of percussion and state-of-the-art electronics, the Alloy Orchestra can create any sound imaginable. The three-man musical ensemble, which writes and performs accompaniment to classic silent films, will appear in a Coe College Marquis Series event on Wednesday, Sept. 16, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Sinclair Auditorium. Coe Galleries to host Iowa Clay Conference Art Exhibit

The Iowa Clay Conference comes to Coe College for the opening art exhibits of the 2015-16 academic year. The exhibits open on Saturday, Sept. 12 and run through Sunday, Oct. 4 in the Marvin Cone and Eaton-Buchan Galleries in Sinclair Auditorium, with gallery hours of 4-6 p.m. daily. Read more...
